Who doesn’t love Fro-yo?! I know I love me some frozen yogurt. So i’m here to tell you that there is a way to eat frozen yogurt in a healthier way!
A lot of times when you go to frozen yogurt shops the frozen yogurt is loaded with sugar and not to mention the toppings like the candy pieces are very tempting, so by the time you’re done with your toppings you were probably better off eating some regular ice cream instead of trying to be healthy with the fro-yo.
Now there is so many different ways you could make this fro-yo but i’m feeling chocolate today, so i’m gonna give you my chocolate protein frozen yogurt recipe.
a whole bin of yo-plait Y2 plain yogurt
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
5 scoops of chocolate protein powder (use a low carb whey isolate)
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tbsp liquid stevia extract
2 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp xanthan gum
1/2 cup sugar free chocolate chips (optional)
Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips and xanathan gum in an icecream maker or blender. Churn until soft serve consistency.
Next, add in the xanthan gum and continue to churn.
Place in freezer for 5 or more hours.
Top with sugar free chocolate chips, fruit, peanut butter you name it!
